I went to the doctor today and told him the pain he feels, I am 6 months pregnant and my doctor said it could be my ligaments and my body stretched, and said that it may also have kidney stones. . So I do not know what to do. . Need more info. . Can anyone help? I need to know what the symptoms are, what can I do if I should go help? In principle, I do not need advice. . Cuz I do not even know what kidney stones are, or what they do and how serious it is. . . Thanx. .

Kidney stones are concentrations of minerals that build up in your system, just like limestone deposits building up in your water heater. All water contains minerals, some of it cannot be broken down by your body and so it collects until finally you either need an operation for removal, or you naturally urinate the stones. Peeing rocks is somewhat painful; I have heard people describe the symptoms as being comparable to a heart attack.

  • Excruciating pain located in your lower back, off to either side. When I say excruciating, I mean, so painful you wanna throw yourself in front of a bus to make it stop.

your doctor should of checked you right there just to make sure. try drinking a little more water and not do any lifting if the pain persits or worsens then tell your doctor to check you for them. sometimes people dont really know they have them untill they pass one. My dad has them alot and i know its painfull

xtremely painful surges in the lower abdomen..not like cramps though. only painkillers can ease the pain until they pass through. drink LOTS of juices..which will help it go thru.

its worse then labor and it hurts when you pee…really bad…and you have a feeling that you need to keep peeing more and more, but can’t…you would have a fever and pain in the back like was mentioned earlier…it is soooo bad that you do usually just want to lay down and die.

I think you deserve a renal ultrasound at the very least as it is extremely safe for the fetus and if there are frank renal calculi or evidence of significant hydronephrosis, then this is extremely important. Obstructive stones in the ureter(s) can lead to profound hydronephrosis, pyeolonephritis (kidney infection) and if not treated can lead to lose of the kidney, so in addition to a urinalysis, an renal ultrasound would be a wise choice for your physician to make.

  • Passing blood in your water is one symptom and sharp stinging pains in your lower back is another symptom. If drinking a lot of water helps for the stinging and sharp lower back pains then it could certainly be kidney stones.
